On a lighter note . . .

As of Tuesday, I have been admitted into MDA’s stem cell transplant unit and we are going full force. The expected length of stay is 3-4 weeks, but (don’t tell the staff) I’m aiming for 3 weeks or less. I promise I won’t walk out, but that’s my goal. Below is just some lighter stuff  – for once, right? Please continue your encouragement and prayers. I hear that I will have some low days ahead of me.

Our daughters and their friend made a 47 second video and sent it to us. 🙂 View it here.

Our 11-year-old’s drawing: “Daddy at Work”   For those of you who work from home, you totally get all of the details.  By the way, I questioned Jonathan when he left his good job 21 months ago. Now I see how his mobile working abilities paid off. image

Our Battle Song!

p.s. Thank you to Jonathan’s brother and wife for caring for our youngest this round. And thank you to our church family for the fun updates on our daughters at camp – and all the love you are showing them!

  1. Just now watched the video the girls made. (Missed clicking it somehow the last time.) I am so very impressed. You are raising the sweetest and smartest and most beautiful 3 children in the universe! My heart is loving you both today!

  2. Praying, Praying, Praying!!

  3. Hi April and Family,
We have been following your postings, and send love from our hearts to you, April, as well as to your entire family. It seems that the Drs. have a good plan in place, and your endurance for these treatments is amazing. We continue to send you healing thoughts.

  4. I woke up this morning at 6:33 (early for me!) with you on my heart and what I believe to be a Word from The Lord for you. I awoke with this scripture on my mind for both you and Jonathan, “Peace l leave you, my own Peace I now give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27. I kept reading to John 16:33 (because of the time I woke up with this so strong in my spirit for you) and was delighted to find that verse reads “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have perfect Peace and confidence. In the world you will have tribulation and trials, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”. You are OVERCOMERS in Christ Jesus! Peace to you as you complete the final lap of this race in victory, Len

  5. You have talented girls! The video rocked and the artist apple didn’t fall far from the Daddy tree! You are so strong. It’s tough to get through August in Houston. Talk about hot! Can’t wait for you to be back in TN. Keep your chin up. You’re almost there.

  6. YES! You are BRAVE I like that song. The video that the girls made is so cute, I hope they will do more. Does all this mean that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel for you. We are praying that the next few weeks will go without any bumps in the road and your dreams about being home are coming true. In afew days we will be celebrating a birthday for a little four year old and we will do our best to make it a very special day for him. We will miss you and Jonathan but we know that you will be with us in spirit and will celebrate again when you are back home.So be brave little April these coming weeks. We are praying!!! Our love to both of you.
